Myke Bryan Wilder
A native Montrealer, Myke Wilder studied both hard and social science at Dawson College, journalism at Concordia University before embarking on a first career in photography. In 1985 he returned to school at McGill University to study public relations.
In 1986, Myke began his communications career with Télé-Direct Publications as corporate editor. Two years later, he began his first freelance practice, building a client list which included the Canadian Council of Grocery Distributors, Cohen-Couture Communications, and Matthews List, the Canadian Media Guide.
In 1989 The (Montreal) Gazette convinced him that he was needed full-time in a newly created Employee Communications department. Leaving behind a successful, well-running department, he left the newspaper in 1993 and founded Wildercom.
He has since devoted himself to building his business, and those of his clients, which include Lujan Consulting, Massey-Forget relations publiques, Bell Canada, BCE, CN, and Bombardier.
In private life, Myke has matched his longtime summer love of baseball with a passion for the winter sport of curling. An avid player he has, since 2000, been Director of Junior Curling at the Montreal West Curling Club.
